Your privacy
Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information Praktical Productivity collects when you visit this website or get in touch with us, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We are committed to handling your information fairly and lawfully, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Praktical Productivity is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. That means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this notice or how we handle your information, email us at hello@praktical.co.uk or call 07356 270650.
What information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the enquiry form on our website, we collect:
- your name and job role
- your email address and/or phone number
- the name and website address of your business
- anything you choose to tell us in your enquiry
If you email or phone us directly, we will collect your contact details and whatever you tell us in that conversation.
Information collected automatically
When you submit the enquiry form, we record the date and time and the IP address it was sent from, to help us identify and block spam.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working properly.
We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a call
- discuss how we might be able to help your business
- keep a record of our correspondence with you
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without your clear consent, and we never sell your information.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. We rely on:
- Legitimate interests: responding to business enquiries and discussing how we can help is a normal part of running our business, and something you would reasonably expect when you contact us.
- Contract: where you ask us to take steps before entering into an agreement with us, such as preparing a proposal.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. These include our website hosting provider and our email provider. They act on our instructions and must keep your information secure.
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, your IP address is shared with Google so it can deliver the files. Google may process that information outside the UK.
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to us working together, we will delete your details within 24 months of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as we work together and afterwards for as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes (normally six years).
Keeping your information secure
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take appropriate steps to protect the information we hold from loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- object to us using your information
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@praktical.co.uk. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month.
Making a complaint
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
